SERVICES
Fort Nelson offers government services on the federal level: Public Works and Government Services Canada, Canada Post and the provincial level
(Ministry of Children & Family Development , BC Parks, BC Conservation Corps, Northern Health Authority, Ministry of Forests & Range, Oil & Gas Commission, Ministry of Employment & Income Assistance , BC Provincial Court, Government Agent).
It also boasts one of British Columbia's most unique local government structure

elections are held every three years.
The Town of Fort Nelson's office offers services such as Building Permits, Dog Licenses, Property Tax Payment, Meeting Room Rentals, Zoning, Property Information Requests and Utility Mapping, and Tourism Information Requests, as well as being the location for all Town and Regional Council, and Regional Hospital Board meetings on the second and forth Monday of each month (excepting July, August, December where there is one meeting on the second Monday of the month). |
