Where a Building Permit IS Required:

• Any building being built over the size of 10 m ² (108 square feet)
• Decks over the size of 10 m² (108 square feet)
• Additions
• Garages
• Woodstoves
• Moving a modular on a lot
• Renovations requiring structural changes to the building
• Alterations to a building
• Structural repairs are made to a building

What does NOT Require a Building Permit:

• Fences
• Landscape patios
• Minor repairs
• Interior minor architectural changes
