RECREATION & LEISURE
The Northern Rockies Regional District Recreation Department offers a variety of activities encouraging participation in grass roots sport and recreation development programs, promoting overall health and wellness. Recreation programs are developed and implemented by program leaders who provide a great way to exercise, participate in social opportunities & be active all year long!

- Fitness Classes - Our instructors are certified & all necessary equipment is supplied
- Gymnastic Camps - Ages: Walking to 16 years old (Offered 2 sessions per year)
- Co-Ed Sport Programs - Volleyball, Floor Hockey, Basketball, Badminton -- please see Program Schedules for facility rental rates.
- Minor Ball - May & June
- Summer Fun Program - Recreation opportunity for children aged 6-12 to be active all summer long. July & August
- Youth Indoor Soccer Program - September to February

- Special Interest Classes - check often to see what is new.
Volunteer Opportunities
We offer volunteer opportunities in a variety of different areas. This includes Youth Programs, Soccer, Minor Ball, Drop-in Co-Ed sports programs, as well as special events such as Community Dances, our Annual Family Easter Event and Spookerama.
The Recreation Department would like to encourage all those interested in volunteering to contact the Recreation Centre for more information.
Program Leader & Instructor Opportunities
Paid positions are available for Program Leaders & Instructors in a variety of areas including Fitness programs, Skate Guarding, Senior Fitness & Leisure activities, and Toddler recreation activities.
